Dr. Brandon Taylor is a professor at his alma mater Fresno State (CA), where he also earned a bachelor’s degree in Recreation Administration, emphasizing Leisure Service Management while competing on the Track and Field team. He later earned his master’s degree in Kinesiology, focusing on Curriculum Development, from Fresno Pacific University and finally achieved his doctorate in Organizational Leadership from the University of Phoenix.
Dr. Taylor's consulting work around Leadership Enrichment, Organizational Development, and Justice, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (JEDI) Education and Assessment includes facilitating internal organizational readiness assessments, community engagement around discrimination and marginalization, and contextualizing racism through theories of oppression and discrimination.
Dr. Taylor's academic focus is on the practical application of theory. His research centers on leadership development, equitable services delivery, government management structures, and organizational development. He has written articles on equity and inclusion and published book chapters on management and inter-professional collaboration.
His 15 years of experience as a practitioner includes developing outcome-driven programming, community engagement, planning, and capacity building.
Dr. Taylor's knowledge of the subject matter was impressive, and the feedback shared by those in attendance was that the session was enlightening, educational, and inspirational.
